Spam Hits Chesterton: Frances Calls the Cleaners

We started getting spam here, so I've had to turn on the Word Verification thingy.

Now don't let that thing scare you away from making a comment. You can still comment to your heart's desire. You'll just have one more little step to do before you send it. And in that moment of waiting, send up a little prayer for the ACS and all the work we do here. Thanks.

  1. And it gives you the chance to have a good laugh, trying to guess what GKC would have to say about the alphabet soup word you have to type...

    This one is "chuxwt"...

He made up his own odd words once, in the discussion about the use of names in fiction:

"As Bunchoosa Blutterspangle lingered in the lovely garden a voice said 'Bunchi' behind her, in tones that recalled the old glad days at the Quoodlesnakes'. It was, it was indeed the deep, melodious voice of Splitcat Chintzibobs."

  2. I am gleefully reminded of Albus Dumbledore's idea of a few words: "Nitwit! Blubber! Oddment! Tweak!"

  3. Good move. Sadly, raging commercialism has invaded the blogosphere. These smamming Chintzibobs must be stopped!
