Re-reading Father Brown

I was just re-reading a Father Brown story this morning (The Wrong Shape) and realized that it never registered with me that Father Brown was at St. Mungo's. That's the third time that name has come up recently, and it is also a name used by JK Rowling in her books.

Who is St. Mungo?
