New Edition of Chesterton's book

Barnes & Noble Library of Essential Reading, with Introduction by our own Sean Dailey. Publication date: December 21, 2006. Congratulations, Sean.

  1. This is great! Didn't Barnes and Noble also come out with a new edition of The Man Who Was Thursday recently?

    Congratulations, Sean!

  2. Thanks, Chris! That was a couple of years ago. Same series: The Library of Essential Reading Series.

These are very reasonably priced paperbacks that come with an introduction and also a bibliography/suggested reading list (which I also did for this edition).

  3. I also saw a Barnes & Noble compilation of Father Brown mysteries recently, but I'm waiting for the annotated version. Any news on when that's coming out?

  4. Barnes & Noble???

They're the General Motors of literary "economics of scale", busily eclipsing the family bookstores.

  5. Well then the more we help make Chesterton available in Barnes & Noble, the more people will read him and, hopefully, the more they'll patronize family bookstores. We must go where we're needed.

  6. Yes, I see it now....helping out the small struggling community-based business by promoting the rich.
