Anarquia: The Novel
An alternative universe sci-fi fantasy involving the Spanish Civil War and including a character by the name of G.K. Chesterton. Has anyone read it? Sounds intriguing.

I have not heard of that till just now...Do you know of anything more about that book? Thanks!
ReplyDeleteRecently, though, while at the store, I noticed that the opening on a new novel by Dean Koontz, Breathless ,begins with a Chesterton quote. Another novel recently released written by Koontz, Relentless also began with three quotes, two of them by Chesterton, plus a couple more mentions of Chesterton within the book. (For the life of me, I cannot remember what the term is for a page that consists of a quote or two at the beginning of a book, but that is what I am referring to in those two examples.)
Mike: I don't know anything more about this book, sorry. I am going to try to get it via Inter-Library Loan first.
ReplyDeleteAs for Dean Koontz--yes, we are aware of a Chesterton connection, a fact of which I cannot tell you more except I hope you have a subscription to Gilbert magazine if you want more information about that!
I discovered only 5 libraries in the US have this book--an obscure title, but still, I'd be interested.
ReplyDeleteOh, OK, thanks! :-) (Hopefully something more will turn up concerning the book...)
