Our Man Chris Chan gets a mention

Chris's article criticizing the adaptations of Agatha Christie was noticed here.

  1. I totally agree with Chris, this new Miss Marple series is not only boring but it sucks in other ways as well, just as Chris pointed it it out in his open letter. Each time I watch it, my blood boils. So far each time I watched it I was strongly tempted to quit, but I haven't, and I sat through that stuff just out of respect for Agatha Christie, whose name is being misused and tarnished by such misrepresentations. But patience too has limits.

Also, I like the original Hercule Poirot series with David Suchet, (with Captain Hastings, Miss Lemon and Inspector Japp), yet I didn't like the latest "new & improved" Poirot in the Classic Crimes Collection by A&E Networks. So far I have watched only the first story, "The Mystery of the Blue Train," but in words of another reviewer it "lacks warmth and a friendly insouciance. There is a heavy-handedness about the production which takes some getting used to."

And did I mention it too was BORING ?

I tried to Google the Agatha Christi Estate, but I am not sure if they have a website or a place to send an email or launch a complaint. Has there been any response to Chris' letter?
