What do you think?

It has been suggested by the commentors below that perhaps we ought to discuss The Man Who Was Thursday, in anticipation of the 100th anniversay of its publishing, and the high probability it will be performed on the stage at the Chesterton Conference this June. I like the idea, what do you think?

We could read a chapter and have daily discussions of its content. I would rely on those of you (Dr. Thursday, Sean, Mr. Peterson, T.W., etc.) who know more about Thursday than I do to help us out.

Good idea?

  2. Sounds like a good idea. I think Chesterteens will be starting one too after our formal discussion tomorrow night.

  3. Yes, let's go for it. It would be good prep for me at least, in that I'm planning on reading a screenplay of the novel that's floating around out there, and I could use a refresher course.

    When shall we begin?

  4. This sounds like a great idea, count me in. It's interesting that it will begin right around the time that Breach airs in the movie theaters. Of course Breach is all about that FBI agent who turned over information to the Soviets, but who also loved The Man Who Was Thursday. Do you suppose we'll be able to figure out why he loved Thursday???

  5. Liz, that FBI agent was living a double life in many more ways than one. I would not trust him to tell me that the sun rises in the east, and if he said he loved The Man Who Was Thursday, chances are that was part of his "front" as well.

    Trust me, I know.
